It’s by Alberta Ferretti and you can find it here.
My outstanding friend Roisin brought me this H and M skirt back from Montreal. It was a lot harder to get over here. I love it. It’s not the easiest skirt to just throw on on any given morning as it requires a little thought. On this day I wore it with an oversize black tee with the sleeves pushed up, liiiiiiiight black tights and some boots. I also went for a chunky choker! The key for wearing decadent items day to day is to work on making the rest of your outfit that bit more casual.
Ah… distressed, frayed, ripped, acid wash, bleached, denim. It’s everywhere and I love it. It’s warm, summery, sexy, casual and cooooool.
The above image from 3.1 Phillip Lim sparked me to do some googling!
I think why I adore it so much is because you can move from grungy mess to laid back cool in seconds AND it’s just so darn comfortable.
After quite the shitty Friday I experienced last week, karma struck gold on Saturday.
As a huge fan of Natalie Hartley, I was de-light-ed to discover I had won the boots she featured in one of her recent blog posts. They are from Office and more than similar to the original Balenciaga’s that sparked the cut out trend.
Needless to say I can’t wait till they arrive so I can wear them into the ground and do an outfit post… or two!
Yesterday it felt a lot like summer. So much so that we decided to have a barbecue. Maybe it was a tad crazy but I’m all of the opinion of living in the now and foregoing the ‘what if’ scenarios. As it was a relaxed, eating with hands affair, I kept the outfit a scruffy/casual one. The t-shirt is a Paul Smith creation which belongs to my boyf but I love. It’s a perfect loose fit which allows me to roll up the sleeves. I went for low slung flares on the bottom and wooden wedges to continue the 70’s vibe.
